Trillions of kilometres away from planet Earth, presumed lost, forgotten by generations come and gone, and left for dead.
For over a century since an experimental enemy weapon strike went horribly awry, the inhabitants of the formerly Canadian deep-space military outpost CSF Base Alpha have eked out a tenuous, defiant existence under an artificial,
eternally dark sky. They've been imprisoned for decades under the shell - a deadly, immovable physical barrier that stands between them and the outside universe. It's a mouse-trap that failed to spring fully shut, trapping them all
in a perilous limbo-state with no stars, no sun, no way out, and no way in for anyone hoping to come to their rescue. The atmosphere is unbreathable, the environment is perilously cold, and without intervention or escape, their future
days are numbered and dwindling.
Now, generations later, with infrastructure that's rapidly reaching its usable end, and no one left alive who even remembers what the blue skies of humanity's homeworld look like, the population stands at a crossroads: Do they fight for freedom from beneath the captivity of the shell, where a single misstep could finally trip the trap and spell a swift and terrible end for all of them? Do they dream of escape into a unfamiliar universe and to a world that not a single one of them could rightfully call 'home'? Or do they pour their efforts and remaining resources into living their truth, lasting as long as they can, and accepting the hand fate has dealt them?
The choice is not so easy as the question, and time is running out. They won't last another generation in the dark.
This is how it ends..
